About Jan
Independent lawyer with international business experience
Jan van der Valk advises small and medium-sized Dutch and international companies, as well as groups of companies, on corporate and commercial law. His work covers cross-border contracts, governance, commercial disputes, compliance, data protection and group restructuring.
He began his career at a medium-sized commercial law firm with a litigation practice. He later worked as in-house counsel and senior in-house counsel at Roche Diagnostics GmbH, Amadeus Travel Distribution S.A. and SABIC. Since 2018, he has worked as an independent attorney at law.
Jan studied Dutch law at Leiden University and completed executive programmes at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom and in Frankfurt, Germany. He works in Dutch, English, German, French and Spanish.
